On May 1, 2026, CRI joined other progressive groups and unions from across the Delaware Valley for a “Workers Over Billionaires” rally at City Hall in Philadelphia. Activists met in Camden and marched across the Ben Franklin Bridge to the beat of the South Jersey Justice Choir, the Brass Uprising band and loud honks of support from motorists crossing the bridge. A prop plane flying a NJ United banner circled overhead as protestors marched across the bridge and through the streets of Philadelphia.
The CRI puppet crew, appropriately featuring Trump, Bezos, and Musk, was on hand to send the marchers across the bridge and welcome them at Philly’s City Hall. As a testament to the power of intersecting art and activism — and the puppeteers’ creative genius — the puppets were featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer and the CBS Philadelphia news.
