On January 5, 2026, members of Cooper River Indivisible joined immigrant rights advocates from all over the state to help push the three Immigrant Protection Bills through committee in New Jersey State Assembly. Some members talked to Assembly People individually, others lent moral support, and others actually testified before the committee. These efforts were successful and the bills have now moved on to the full Assembly.
