The NJ Immigrant Trust Act has been repackaged as 3 separate bills and is being introduced in the State House in Trenton. We have one week to get these bills passed.

After hours of testimony and several impassioned speeches by legislators on the panel, the 3 Immigrant Protection bills PASSED the Assembly Judiciary Committee 4-2! Thanks to everyone who was there on Monday.  This was an historic hurdle and now we are on the Senate! You can help in two different ways. We need everyone to call Senators on January 7 and 8 and as many people as possible to come out to the Trenton State House on January 8th.

Calls (1/7 and 1/8)

• Sample script: “Please ensure the safety of my neighbors by passing the 3 clean Immigration Protection Bills (A6308, A6309, and A6310) in the same form passed by the Assembly Judiciary Committee. Thank you, goodbye”
