Lobby For New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act

The NJ Immigrant Trust Act is incredibly important and has been languishing in the state legislature for years. We have a very short period of time to get the act passed during this lame duck session, so it’s an all -hands-on-deck moment across the state.

We need volunteers to go to Trenton together and lobby for this bill. You do not need to have any lobbying experience — nor is an understanding of how the legislature works or the bill itself essential. We will learn together. I’ve only lobbied one time.

There are organizations that will serve as the lead each day, and we will connect with them. Getting numbers of people is very important — even just to be a presence. And remember: the legislators work for us.
