DESCRIPTION:Please join us to clean up the litter that has accumulated along the White Horse Pike and adjacent vegetation. Trash bags\, grabbers\, and gloves will be available. \nWe will be meeting at the Oaklyn Borough Hall parking lot (500 White Horse Pike\, Oaklyn). \nPlease dress appropriately with closed-toe shoes. The Phillies are hosting their 5k and we will be cheering the participants AND letting them know the Citizens Bank is a major lender to Geo Group and Core Civic\, both of whom run private prisons and detention facilities like Delany Hall in Newark\, Elizabeth Detention in Elizabeth\, NJ\, and Moshannon in Pennsylvania. \nWe Phillies fans won’t stand for this kind of cruelty!! \nAfter ICE abducts our friends and neighbors\, Delaney Hall\, Elizabeth Detention Center\, and Moshannon are where most of them are taken. There\, they are subject to abuses such as inhumane living conditions\, severe medical neglect\, abusive treatment from guards\, poor food/water quality\, and more\, all while these corporations make record profits off the suffering of human beings. \nThis must stop. \nJoin us in peacefully protesting their complicity. DESCRIPTION:Join us for another Roadside Rally Against Fascism down in Bellmawr at the corner of Black Horse Pike and E Browning Road. \nThere is a good amount of traffic and plenty of sidewalk\, and there is parking available on nearby residential streets (make sure not to obstruct the nearby police and fire departments on Lewis Ave). We would love to welcome as many folks as possible to come make some noise with us! \nThis is a nonviolent demonstration\, so please attend with safety and de-escalation in mind. We do not expect any counterprotestors\, but we can never be 100% sure. Do your best to minimize engagement with hecklers\, and don’t be too shy to smile and wave at our supporters! \nPlease bring your signs\, flags\, street antics\, and any other ways you can think of to joyfully disturb the peace.
