When: Wednesday September 17, 2025 @ 5 pm (ends at 6 pm)
Where: Haddie the Dinosaur Statue (37 Kings Hwy East, Haddonfield)
Why: September 17th is Constitution and Citizenship Day and we are joining together for a show of peaceful solidarity against those who threaten the Constitution and are attempting to destroy our democracy.
How: We encourage attendees to wear Red, White, and Blue, to bring flags and other symbols of our country, and to bring signs to highlight parts of the constitution that are being undermined.
Below are some ideas that you might want to draw upon for creating your signs:
The Preamble:
- Of course we have the classic “We the People”
- but we shouldn’t overlook stressing “Promoting the general Welfare”
- “Securing the blessings of liberty to our Posterity”
- “Establishing Justice”
Article 1:
- Section 3: “[Presidents and other Officers] are liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgement and Punishment, according to the Law”. No one above the law!!!
- Section 4: “Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State Legislature thereof”. The President is given no Authority to stop Vote by Mail!!
- Section 8: “Congress shall have the power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises”. President can’t impose Tariffs that is the job of Congress
- Section 8: “[Congress shall have the power to] define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the High Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations”. President can’t arbitrarily attack boats on the high seas
Article 2:
- Section 4: “The President…shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”
Article 4:
- Section 2: “The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several State”. Lets make people Citizens of NJ!!
- Section 3: “Congress shall have the power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States”. Don’t all the President to control what happens with property in the Smithsonian!!
Article 6:
- “This Constitution…is the supreme Law of the Land”. Country of laws not of a country governed by the whims of the President
- “The Senators and Representatives…and all executive and judicial Officers…shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution”
- “No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States”
First Amendment

- Congress shall make no law abridging the right of the people to peaceably assemble
Fourth Amendment

- No Warrants without probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized
Fifth Amendment
- No person shall be…deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of the law
Sixth Amendment
- In all criminal prosecution, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial…[in] the district wherein the crime shall have been committed…and have the Assistance of the Counsel for his defence.

- “All persons born…in the United States…are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
- “Nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law”. Note that they choose to say person and not citizen. This protection extends to all persons.
- “Nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws”. Again this is not just for citizens they clearly want this right to apply to any person living in a State.
- No person who has engaged in insurrection or rebellion shall hold any office under the United States
Fifteenth Amendment
