The LGBTQIA+ Subcommittee of Cooper River Indivisible is dedicated to advocating for the rights, visibility, and well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals in our community. Through activism and coalition-building, we work to promote equality, fight discrimination, and support policies that protect and uplift marginalized voices. We strive to create an inclusive space for discussion, organizing, and action, ensuring that LGBTQIA+ issues remain at the forefront of our movement for justice and democracy.

This meeting will be a committee space to regroup, reenergize, and talk through new actions we may want to take in the year ahead. This administration has been unusually quiet when it comes to actions against our community. That silence does not mean we let our guard down. It means we stay ready.
If there are local concerns, please bring them forward. Now is the time to share them! After everything we learned and built this past year, we are stronger, more prepared, and even more capable of pushing back when this administration decides to test us.
